Punchout Connection
Users initiate the PunchOut connection directly from the customer’s procurement system, transferring data to the enabled PunchOut catalog. This key step, known as the PunchOut Setup Request (PSR), is commonly formatted using cXML or OCI protocols.
This process directs users to co-branded catalogs, offering personalized pricing, product subsets, and multiple options.
Purchasing
Purchasing Process with the Punchout Solution
Customers browse and select the desired products, adding them to the cart. At checkout, they use a dedicated button to transfer the cart to their eProcurement or ERP platform.
Our PunchOut solution handles the conversion of cart data into standard cXML or OCI formats, fully compatible with eProcurement and ERP systems. Data mapping is customized to meet each customer’s specific requirements.
Order
Purchase Requisition and Order
After the items return to the customer’s procurement system, processes such as budget application and purchase approval are triggered within the buyer’s system.
Once approved, the Purchase Requisition is converted into a Purchase Order, which is sent to your system to initiate the fulfillment process.
Thanks to PunchOut catalogs, you can accept electronic orders and automatically generate the corresponding orders in your system.
