Inserting GROUPED products
Product entry GROUPED
(The category and the brand – manufacturer, already entered before)
The grouped product looks like this: a parent product + product variants –> associated products. First the parent product must be created – grouped product, and then the associated products must be added (explanation and screenshot at the bottom)
To insert a new grouped product: Catalog -> Products -> Product management -> New
Product information
Product type: Grouped products
Individually visible:
Product template: grouped product
Standard
Enter product name
Short Description: Enter the short description if needed
Full Description: Enter the full description if needed
Published:
Save and continue editing
Image
Upload product image
Category mappings
Add new record > select the category
Manufacturer mappings
Add new record > select the manufacturer
ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS
Add product > enter the data of the associated product: SKU, Short description, Price, Order -> save and continue;
Specification Management
Add specification (size, dimensions, sales unit, etc.)
Save
If additional data for the associated product is required, click on the product link just added (see previous screenshot – highlighted in purple). In the tab that opens (see screenshot below), you can enter further details.
